Information Collection and Use

Venture Business Research Ltd (“VBR” or the “Company”) is the sole owner of the information collected on this website. VBR will not sell, share, or rent this information to third parties in ways other than those disclosed in this policy. VBR collects information from its users at several different points on this website.

Registration

VBR’s website restricts access to online content. To access content on the website users must first complete a registration form. During registration users are required to give their contact information (such as name and email address). Users are also asked to provide optional demographic and personal information that is used to keep VBR’s content as relevant as possible. Where online access to content is part of a subscription package, registration forms will often contain full subscriber details used to identify and fulfill that subscriber's account.

Email alerts

If a user wishes to subscribe to VBR’s email alerts a user is asked for contact and delivery information such as name and email address.

Sharing

VBR will share aggregated demographic information with its partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify an individual person. The Company will also share information when using a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services.

Orders

VBR requests information from a user on its order forms. To place an order a user must provide contact information (like name and email address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfill customer's orders. If VBR has trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to contact the user. All online transactions are processed via Protx.

Cookies

VBR’s website uses cookies - a cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of cookies is for the convenience of visitors. For instance, by setting a cookie on VBR’s website, a user only needs to log in a password once, thereby saving time while on the website. If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use the VBR website. Cookies also enable VBR to track and target the interests of its users in order to enhance user-experience.

Log Files

VBR uses IP addresses to analyse trends, administer the website, track a user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Links

VBRs’ website may contain links to other websites. Please be aware that VBR is not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this website.

Surveys

From time to time VBR’s website requests information from users via a survey. Participation in a survey is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and email address), and demographic information (such as post code, age level). This information will be used for the purpose of monitoring and improving the functionality of this website.

Security

This website takes every precaution to protect its users' information. That is why VBR picked Protx as its secure transaction intermediary for online payments. When users submit sensitive information via VBR’s website and Protx, your information is protected both online and off-line. When VBR’s registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While accessing a secure page, such as VBR’s order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer appears. This confirms that the page is secure and not un-locked, or open, such as when you are ”surfing”. While VBR uses SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, the Company also does everything in its power to protect user-information off-line. All of VBR’s users' information, not just sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in the Company’s offices. Only employees who need information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The servers that store personally identifiable information for VBR are maintained in a highly secure environment.

Website Updates

VBR also sends its users website update announcements. Members are not able to un-subscribe from service update announcements, which contain important information about the service they have purchased. VBR communicates with users to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email or phone.

Correction/Updating Personal Information

If a user's personally identifiable information changes (such as your post code), or if a user no longer desires VBR’s service, the Company will endeavour to provide a way to correct, update or remove that user's personal data provided to us. This can be done at the registration page or by emailing the website editor at admin@vbresearch.com.

Notification of Changes

If VBR decides to change its privacy policy, the Company will seek to advise all users of these changes.
